The SIOR conferences offer members seminars delivered by world class professionals on topics impacting industrial and office real estate. This year’s Fall Conference featured thought leaders from Columbia University and MIT. The chairman of Time Equities, Francis Greenburger, spoke at the conference. I represent Mr. Greenburger’s flex/office park next to the Buffalo International Airport called Inducon, where we’ve added thousands of sf of new tenants and renewed and expanded the leases for many others. Breakout sessions offer an opportunity to improve my skills by learning from outstanding real estate professionals.
Tom Brokaw and Rudy Giuliani spoke at the conference. Giuliani shared his experiences as mayor, particularly during the 9/11 attacks and his 6 lessons for Leadership:
I co-chaired a meeting for 100 SIORs featuring two speakers. The first addressed effective methods to clearly convey messages. The second speaker described millennials and advised how to hire and effectively train this generation, now poised to take leadership within the next decade or two.
